Headline: Two Baby Alligators Hatch At Australian Zoo
Caption: Two tiny alligators are stealing hearts at an Australian zoo. No bigger than the palm of a hand, the baby gators hatched at the Australian Reptile Park. Head Reptile Keeper Dylan Wallis filmed the special moment as they emerged. In December, keepers took part in the high-stakes “Gator Raid” to safely retrieve eggs from a protective mother. For now, the hatchlings are growing behind the scenes. They'll join the massive Gator Lagoon once they reach 2 metres - in about 5 to 8 years. Native to the U.S. southeast, alligators are shy, misunderstood creatures facing growing threats in the wild.
