Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Rishi Sunak Returns to Goldman Sachs as Senior Advisor

Caption: Rishi Sunak Returns to Goldman Sachs as Senior Advisor. Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has taken on a new role as a senior advisor at Goldman Sachs, the investment bank confirmed. Sunak, who stepped down as PM in July 2024, will work part-time, offering clients strategic guidance on global economics and politics. He previously worked for the bank as an analyst before entering politics, and still serves as the Conservative MP for Richmond and Northallerton. Goldman CEO David Solomon said he was “excited to welcome Rishi back” adding that Sunak will also help foster professional development across the firm. His salary will be donated to The Richmond Project — a charity he founded with his wife Akshata Murty to improve numeracy in the UK. The role has been cleared by the UK’s business appointments watchdog, though with strict conditions, Sunak cannot advise foreign governments, or lobby the UK on the bank’s behalf.
