Caption: High-Profile Activists Deported After Gaza Flotilla Blocked by Israel. Greta Thunberg and Ada Colau were among 171 activists deported by Israel after their Gaza flotilla was intercepted. The group attempted to deliver humanitarian aid and challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza using 44 civilian boats. Israeli naval forces intercepted the flotilla in international waters last Wednesday night. Deported activists were sent to Greece and Slovakia, while others were released earlier to Turkey, Spain, and Italy. Activists came from more than 17 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway. Many of those detained reported harsh treatment and poor conditions in Israeli custody. Around 150 activists remain detained at Ktziot prison, with 40 reportedly on hunger strike. Some detainees are refusing food and water in solidarity with Gaza and to protest alleged mistreatment. Legal representatives claim activists were subjected to rights violations, physical abuse, and humiliation. Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
