Lebanese President Joseph Aoun demanded a full Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon ahead of planned negotiations in Washington next week. Since the ceasefire extension in April, more than 400 people in Lebanon and 10 Israeli soldiers have reportedly been killed amid ongoing cross-border fighting.
