Rae Anne Bradley, regional communications officer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Chattanooga and the Cumberland Plateau, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that eastbound lanes reopened at around 22:00 local time after the water had receded. Westbound lanes reopened on Wednesday after crews removed vehicles left stranded by the flooding.
