Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Four Killed in Cable Car Crash Near Naples, Italy

Caption: Four people have tragically died after a cable car cabin plummeted to the ground near Mount Faito, south of Naples, Italy, emergency services confirmed. Italian media reports suggest the victims were two Britons and two Israelis, although these identities have not been officially confirmed by authorities. One individual was also seriously injured in the incident and was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. The cable car cabin was near the top of Mount Faito when one of its supporting cables snapped, causing the deadly fall. Prosecutors have opened an investigation into the accident, confirming the victims included three passengers and the driver of the cable car. A second cabin on the same line was near the bottom of the valley at the time of the crash and was successfully evacuated, with 16 people rescued. The president of the region, Vincenzo De Luca, stated that all the victims were tourists, and the UK Foreign Office is in contact with Italian authorities. Poor weather conditions, including fog, wind, and rain, complicated rescue efforts, with more than 50 firefighters involved in the operation. Local officials confirmed that a traction cable snapped over a steep area, and while the emergency brake downstream worked, the cabin's emergency brake failed. The EAV public transport firm, responsible for the cable car, stated the system had undergone regular safety checks and had reopened only 10 days prior to the tragedy.
