Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Trump Delays Planned Iran Strikes After Appeals From Gulf Leaders

Caption: Trump Delays Planned Iran Strikes After Appeals From Gulf Leaders. Donald Trump said he has delayed planned U.S. military strikes on Iran to allow more time for diplomatic negotiations. The U.S. president said attacks that had been scheduled for Tuesday were paused following requests from Gulf leaders urging Washington to give talks another chance. Trump said the appeals came from the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the President of the United Arab Emirates. In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump said regional allies believed a deal could still be reached that would be acceptable to both the United States and countries across the Middle East. The president said any agreement must guarantee that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons, though he did not provide further details about possible terms. Despite pausing the strikes, Trump said he had instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chair Daniel Caine to remain ready for a “full, large scale assault” if negotiations fail. Trump had warned over the weekend that Iran needed to move quickly toward an agreement or face severe consequences. The White House is expected to continue discussions on Iran during further national security meetings this week. Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
