Caption: Travel Chaos as WWII Bomb Forces Eurostar Shutdown. Eurostar has cancelled all trains between London and Paris after an unexploded World War II bomb was found near train tracks in northern Paris. At least 10 services were halted on Friday morning, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at London St Pancras and Paris Gare du Nord. The bomb was found at around 4 a.m. by workers moving earth near the railway tracks in the Saint-Denis area, north of central Paris. French bomb disposal teams were deployed to the site, and authorities assured residents there was no immediate danger. France’s national train operator SNCF confirmed that services were suspended following police orders, urging travellers to postpone their journeys. Gare du Nord, one of Europe’s busiest train stations, saw significant delays, with trains to northern France also affected. Many travellers looked for alternative routes, with some considering flights from Luton or Amsterdam as Eurostar services remained suspended. With limited travel options, flight prices from London to Paris soared, with British Airways selling remaining tickets for £264. Passengers affected by the cancellations can exchange their tickets for free for another date in the same travel class. Eurostar trains between London and Brussels continue to operate as normal despite the disruptions in Paris. Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
