The $5 billion mega-resorts are the vision of Toronto-based Moon World Resorts Inc. Each development would be dominated by a 271-metre-wide sphere rising 312 metres high, making it taller than the Sphere in Las Vegas. The company says every lunar resort could attract up to 10 million guests a year. Inside, plans include a 4,000-room five-star all-suite hotel and an authentic lunar surface experience designed for two million visitors annually. The destinations would also feature convention centres, wellbeing hubs, restaurants, an e-sports arena and 10,000 luxury branded residences forming entire vertical communities. Ten global locations are being targeted — including the USA, Spain, China and the UAE — with the first artificial moon potentially opening in 2032.
