Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Kanye West banned from entering Australia over Hitler song

Caption: Kanye West banned from entering Australia over Hitler song. Australian authorities revoked the Stronger rapper's visa after he released the highly controversial song, Heil Hitler, in which he praises Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in May following a string of antisemitic X posts in which he declared his love for Hitler and called himself a Nazi. This means he is barred from visiting the home country of his wife, Bianca Censori. Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke revealed on ABC's Afternoon Briefing program that officials looked at West's visa status again after the release of the widely banned song. ”It was a lower level (visa) and the officials still looked at the law and said you're going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don't need that in Australia.” ”We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.” Burke added that the musician had family in Australia and had been coming to the country "for a long time" before his visa cancellation. When asked if it was "sustainable" to maintain the ban due to West's career, Burke replied, "I think that what's not sustainable is to import hatred. ”Every visa application gets reassessed by my officials each time. I'm not taking away the way the act operates but even for the lowest level of visa, when my officials looked at it, they cancelled that following the announcement of that song.” Burke did not divulge exactly when the authorities revoked the visa. Censori reportedly left West earlier this year over his latest antisemitism controversy, however, they are believed to be back together.
