The Japanese superstar, who grew up in the US, had left fans wondering with cryptic notes about her personal life last week. ”I've come to the conclusion that what's meant for me is meant for me and maybe certain situations occur to train my mind for what's to come. That being said this is about to be a great year.” Osaka returned to the tour at last year's Australian Open after a 15-month break. Ahead of the Australian Open this year, which starts on Sunday, Osaka reached the final of a warm-up tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. She pulled out due to injury after taking the opening set.
