In one of the cards, his sons Zachary and Elijah wished him a "happy 35th birthday" and wrote, "We are so proud of you!". In addition to the cards and flowers, Elton also received two framed drawings featuring balloons, love hearts and swirls. Although the drawings are partially covered by the cards, the words "Happy sobriety" and "So proud of you!" can be seen.
