Caption: Madonna praises Sabrina Carpenter's debut Vogue cover. On Tuesday, the Espresso hitmaker was unveiled as the star of the March 2025 issue of the U.S. fashion publication. Photographed by frequent Madonna collaborator Steven Meisel, many fans were quick to point out that Sabrina's photoshoot was reminiscent of the Material Girl hitmaker's 1991 cover story for Vanity Fair in which she channelled Marilyn Monroe. In response, the Queen of Pop praised the concept in the comments section. A number of other celebrities lauded the photoshoot too, with Lily Collins writing and Heidi Klum exclaiming. Previously, Sabrina paid homage to Madonna when she wore a white sequin Bob Mackie gown to the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards last September. The Holiday singer first wore the dress to the Academy Awards in 1991. And in her interview for Vogue, Sabrina explained that she was inspired by a number of women when she was recording her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet. ”(I was) feeling inspired by images of women that felt very strong and hyperfeminine. And then being like: 'If only she said what she was actually thinking.'" Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
