The Matty Healy-fronted band will top the bill on Friday 27 June while Rodrigo will close this year's festival on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday 29 June. The 22-year-old, who was widely rumoured as a headliner, shared the line-up poster on her Instagram Stories. ”Headlining glasto has been one of my biggest dreams for so long. truly can't believe this! so grateful and sooo excited. hope to see you there (sic).” They join previously announced headliner Neil Young, who will perform with his Chrome Hearts band on the Saturday after reversing his decision to pull out of the annual music event. Rod Stewart had also already been announced as this year's performer for the Sunday afternoon "legend" slot. The headliners for the festival's second stage, the Other Stage, were also unveiled on Thursday. Charli XCX will top the bill on the Saturday, rapper Loyle Carner will headline on Friday and The Prodigy will close the stage on Sunday with their first Glastonbury performance since the death of frontman Keith Flint in 2019.
