The State Emergency Service said 54 firefighters, supported by 16 units of equipment, a Ukrzaliznytsia fire train and local fire brigades, were deployed to tackle the blaze. Most of the drones were intercepted by Ukrainian air defences, though some struck industrial and infrastructure sites. Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper confirmed that production premises and other facilities were damaged in the attack. He added that work was already under way to assess the extent of the damage and restore critical infrastructure. Officials stressed that the situation was under control and that emergency teams remained on site. Russia has repeatedly targeted Odesa and its surrounding areas, which are home to key port and energy facilities linked to Ukraine’s exports.
