Headline: RAW VIDEO: Russian drone attack sets Odesa region fuel facility ablaze

Caption: These images and video show the aftermath of a major drone attack on a fuel facility in Izmail in Ukraine in the early hours of Wednesday (20August2025). Ukraine says Russian forces carried out the attack on the Odesa region overnight, sparking fires and damaging infrastructure. The strikes targeted the Izmail district in the early hours of Tuesday using so-called "kamikaze" drones, according to regional officials. One man was injured. A major fire broke out at a fuel and energy facility, but emergency crews managed to bring it under control. The State Emergency Service said 54 firefighters, supported by 16 units of equipment, a Ukrzaliznytsia fire train and local fire brigades, were deployed to tackle the blaze. Most of the drones were intercepted by Ukrainian air defences, though some struck industrial and infrastructure sites. Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper confirmed that production premises and other facilities were damaged in the attack. He added that work was already under way to assess the extent of the damage and restore critical infrastructure. Officials stressed that the situation was under control and that emergency teams remained on site. Russia has repeatedly targeted Odesa and its surrounding areas, which are home to key port and energy facilities linked to Ukraine’s exports.
